Sunrise shells come from a variety of scallop endemic to Hawaii so they are found nowhere else in the world. It's believed that in the past only Hawaiian royalty were allowed to wear these treasures, given their rare and unique beauty.
These shells were hand carved and then cast into the solid 18k gold forms you see here.
