These charms are inspired by the many plant and animals species native to Maui Nui (Maui, Molokai, Lanai and Kahoolawe) that face the danger of dwindling numbers.
This bracelet presents a collage of efforts, a snapshot of a journey that speaks to a sense of hope, as each plant and animal depicted can only survive and thrive with our conscious efforts.
It features a chain made with organic, fluid links and a secure toggle closure. The bracelet creates its own unique presence as the charms move and flow with each turn of your arm. Chunky yet elegant, this piece presents a dynamic expression of your personality.
Charms include the following:
1) Kiwikiu bird or Maui Parrotbill
2) Maui island with Pulelehua or Kamehameha Butterfly, the official state insect of Hawaii
3) Honu or Hawaiian Green Sea Turtle
4) Maui island with Ma'o or Hawaiian Cotton Flower
The bracelet measures approx. 8" long, and can be worn shorter by pulling the toggle through one of the other links in the bracelet. Made by hand of solid sterling silver in my Maui studio.
