The Hawaiian Green Sea Turtle is the only indigenous reptile in Hawaii, and is a symbol of wisdom, endurance, long life and good luck.
Many years ago, I would park at the Hookipa lookout on Maui, set up my jewelry on a beach chair and enjoy the day as I chatted with locals and visitors, selling my pieces. Towards the late afternoon I'd watch the Honu as they migrated out of the water and up onto the shore to rest, their rows of domed shells forming a new landscape on the sand. They were a magnificent sight.
In honor of these revered creatures, I've created this ring depicting a Honu as it swims over a patch of coral. Entirely hand carved and cast in solid sterling silver. Keep the energy of the Honu close to you and be reminded of its strengths.
