Humpback whales love Maui's warm waters and come here to breed and birth their young. Between November and April, whale watching is a fun and popular activity for all, locals and visitors alike.
Years ago, I would park at the Hoʻokipa lookout on Maui, set up my jewelry on a beach chair and enjoy the day as I chatted with people, selling my pieces. During whale season we were often treated to spectacular shows put on by these visiting giants. I loved it, and always felt so lucky to have these majestic animals so close by.
In honor of these revered creatures, I've created this pendant depicting a Humpback whale calf as it swims.
Entirely hand carved and cast in solid sterling silver. Comes with an 18" sterling silver chain.
Pendant measures approximately 7/8" long by 1/2" high.
